St. Cloud Area
Practical Shooters Association

Minnesota's north west metro area premier USPSA club

SCAPSA Equipment Shed
SCAPSA was founded by a group of action pistol shooters that bonded together. They found a plot of land that they could rent and built a handful of berms that allowed them to set up stages for competition pistol shooting. A few years later they become a USPSA affiliated club, and the rest is history. The range is open to members only during its open hours, but we welcome the general public to matches.

Leagues

Tuesday nights throughout the summer you can hear gunshots coming from the range. At any given weekly match we have anywhere from 20-50 shooters that come from all different backgrounds. At the end of every year, we have an awards banquet that top shooters in every division are awarded a plaque for their achievements. Tuesday night matches are open to the general public and are a great way to get your feet wet into competitive shooting.

Members

All of our members are active USPSA shooters and come from many different ages, occupations, and backgrounds. Everything from military, police, doctors, teachers, engineers, and much more make up the SCAPSA group. Members are subject to a vetting process that keeps the club prospering and an enjoyable place to shoot with friends and family.

Range Calendar

With over 30 events a year at SCAPSA, you have no excuse not to shoot a match. Jomar with the MN3GUN group currently manages the match calendar for the Minnesota Section that includes matches all over the state. We are hoping soon to maintain our own event calendar that has member functions, clean-up dates, and more importantly, match dates, times, and locations.

Range Location

The five-bay range is located off a dirt road in Clearwater, MN. About 15 minutes from St. Cloud a majority of our active members and shooters come from Sartell, Waite Park, Clear Lake, Buffalo, Albertville, and many other surrounding cities. The range also proud to facilitate local police departments and other governmental defensive training events. Click Here for directions.
